Vanessa Hudgens Talks Bad Boys

She’s one of the hottest young actresses in Hollywood, and Vanessa Hudgens could have pretty much any guy she wants.

And in her new film “Beastly,” Hudgens’ character Lindy ends up falling in love with Alex Pettyfer’s bad boy Kyle.

Vanessa Hudgens explains, "I feel like a lot of girls think it's easier to go under the radar, to not really stand up and let their true selves be known.”

“And I feel like when that happens, a lot of girls look up to guys who embody that, who are just truly out there and, of course, my character falls for that, as a lot of other girls would."

Vanessa Hudgens: Independent Spirit Awards Sexy

Spending the day at a red carpet celebration, Vanessa Hudgens looked darling as she arrived at the 2011 Film Independent Spirit Awards on Saturday afternoon (February 26).

The "High School Musical" hottie took to the Santa Monica beachfront venue in preparation of the annual cinema showcase - as she headed directly to the LG Cinema 3D HDTV lounge to hang out with fellow actress Malin Akerman.

Miss Hudgens made the appearance as she's throwing herself back in the spotlight as she readies for next month's release of her new movie "Beastly".

As for the 2011 Film Independent Spirit Awards, the show will air at 10:00 ET on IFC with Joel McHale handling the hosting duties.

Vanessa Hudgens was pretty in purple as she arrived for the premiere of her new movie ‘Beastly’. Beastly is a modern day spin on the classic ‘Beauty and the Beast’ tale and also stars ‘I Am Number Four’ star Alex Pettyfer, Neil Patrick Harris and Mary Kate Olsen.

Vanessa sure seems to be in the limelight a lot lately. First there was the breakup/maybe reconciliation with Zac Efron, then she was named the new face of Candies and then we saw her all over fashion week! Someone’s star seems to be on the rise!

Beastly certainly looks interesting! I think it will do really well with the younger audience. Will you go see it?
